Why is my link in bio not working?
If your link in bio isn't working, it's almost always one of a few simple causes. Work through these in order:
Common fixes
- Check for typos. Make sure the URL is spelled correctly and includes no stray spaces. Copy and paste it rather than typing it by hand.
- Include the full address. Some apps only make a link tappable when it starts with
https://- paste the complete URL, not just the domain. - Save your profile. On Instagram, TikTok, and similar apps, links only go live after you tap Save on the edit screen.
- Put the link in the right field. A URL typed into your bio text may not be clickable on every platform - use the dedicated Website or Link field where one exists.
- Wait a moment, then refresh. New links and newly published pages can take a minute to appear. Close and reopen the app.
- Test in a private window. Open the link in a browser you're not logged into to confirm the page itself loads.
If your link-in-bio page is the problem
Make sure the page is published, not just saved as a draft, and that the username in the URL matches your page exactly. If you use a custom domain, check that its DNS is set up and verified.
Still stuck? A reliable, well-hosted link-in-bio page avoids most of these issues - you can rebuild yours free in a couple of minutes.
