What is a link-in-bio?

A link in bio is the single website link in a social media profile, the one a creator means when they say "link in bio" in a post. Because Instagram, TikTok and most other apps only give you one or a few profile links, most people point that link at a link-in-bio page: a small, mobile-friendly page that lists all their links and content in one place.

How a link-in-bio page works

1. You create a page with a tool such as Linky and get a short URL, like lin.ky/yourname.
2. You paste that URL into the website field of each social profile.
3. When followers tap it, they see all your links: your shop, latest video, newsletter, other socials and anything else you add.
4. When something changes, you update the page once instead of editing every profile.
